About The Artist

I have the great joy of being a full-time artist working in acrylic, oil and digital mediums. At the moment I'm especially drawn to paint slightly abstracted landscapes of the southeast and Florida where I grew up before the days of theme parks. In my art, you'll find a touch of the "real Florida," mossy oaks and pines, peaceful lakes, waterways and hiking trails. You'll also see sunny beaches, misty mountains and fresh florals as regular themes, as well as layered abstracts. 

Art has always been a part of me.  I have vivid memories of being a six year old, entralled with coloring books and finger paints. But my creative torch was lit the day my sixth grade teacher praised a palm tree painting I made in her class. For months after, all I wanted to do was paint palm trees! I took art classes in college and, later, studied with several noted painters while raising three sons, writing books and serving as Creative Director at my church. My work has been shown in traditional as well as online galleries and in-person art shows, and in retail shops. But I'm happiest knowing my work is hung in the homes of collectors throughout the US. It was also featured in Stroll magazine.

Because I love decorating my own home, interior design has always been a passion and I'm happy to collaborate on personalized, commissioned art with designers looking for that extra special piece for their clients.  

My husband, David, and I live west of Orlando in Winter Garden, Fl, with the kind of downtown perfect for Hallmark movie. We spend free days hiking and boating. We're really into football and fire pit nights with our family. We love the mountains. And, as first time dog owners, we're adapting to a whole new life with our very lively doodle, Dallas.
