This is one of my favorite little trails at the back of our neighborhood. It runs for awhile beside Lake Apopka and in the early morning or late afternoon the shadows are long which I enjoyed emphasizing in this original piece.
I've taken dozens of photos of this path, the wild grasses, stands of magnolia trees, the slivers of water beyond the berms in hopes of finding just the right spot to paint what I feel here.
I'm drawn to paint paths and trails because they remind me of the journey of life we're all on, always wondering what good thing might be around the next turn.
