Nothing says "real Florida" like the wildness of some of our local rivers. This painting is of a beautiful spot deep in the Wekiva River that David and I came upon one day while kayaking. It almost took my breath away it was so natural and untouched. It was summertime and vegetation was lush with the deepest green. The water was just this dark and still. (Not pictured is the alligator we saw nearby sunning himself on a fallen tree. )
